HCM City banks equity surges 90%
|
|
(TBIC) - By early 2008, the total equity of banks in HCM City had reached nearly 23.23 trillion dong, up over 90% compared with the same period of last year, according to the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV).
The chartered capital of banks accounted for over 23 trillion dong, increasing 77% over last year.
Of which, Sacombank occupied more than four trillion dong, Vietnam Eximbank, Asia Commercial Bank, and An Binh Joint Stock Bank accounted for over two trillion dong each.
There were five other banks in the city that had a charter capital of more than one trillion dong and seven other banks had over 500 billion dong.
Total assets of those banks were estimated at more than 395.77 trillion dong, a two-fold growth over one year ago.
